Day 4

Yesterday was a vacation day, but the group (me, Claire, and Mom) is back together for a brunch meeting to regroup and summarize our progress of the past week. We have certainly accomplished a lot!

I can now say that the camp is very well advertised for. I've started up this blog, and have begun to think up lesson-plans for the instructional section of camp. During this whole process Claire and I were even able to reacquaint ourselves with the community!

The tasks slated for next week are the following:

Write up lesson plans
Keep up the blog
Start playing around with the camera

I'm looking forward to a busy week!

Day 3

Corvallis is a lot bigger than I remember it being! Today I had to finish putting up posters around town (alone this time :( ). On Thursday I had swung by the Corvallis District Office to have my posters approved to put up in the public schools around town. That's what I did today. It still took a long time, but I am glad that I got them all up before the end of the school day.

Hopefully, these posters will attract lots of students!

Day 2

Today I went around Corvallis with my lovely friend Claire to put up posters advertising 2 Films, 2 Weeks. We went all around town, even to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants Aomatsu. There are so many bulletin boards up around town. It just shows how supportive Corvallis is of independent ventures like this camp!

Through the course of our advertising we went to our old middle school and visited some of our old teachers. They were quite excited about our summer plans!

On another note, the video camera, the Sony HXR-NX5U camera that we'll be using was ordered today and should be arriving to film camp headquarters really soon! I am very excited. It will be so much fun to practice using the technology making short cooking shows and other videos with my friends!

Day 1

Today was the first day of official entrepreneurial action! I met with Victoria (my mom) President of AnOvation Group LLC and Claire, my wonderful and supportive friend for our first business meeting. Victoria is working with both Claire and me to help refine and focus our enterprises. We determined what still had to be done for 2 Films, 2 Weeks, but also had plenty of fun catching up on our lives over a delicious breakfast!

Hello!

Hey all! Welcome to 2 Films, 2 Weeks!

I welcome you to share in this journey with me, as I develop my film camp and as the participants transition from film students to film makers. It should be an exciting ride!
